We are a group of Rockland County residents and activists working in solidarity with others in NYS and around the country to end mass incarceration and racial discrimination. We believe that it is necessary to vastly improve conditions for those who are sentenced to and released from our prisons and jails. We are deeply concerned about the health and safety of those incarcerated, especially the lack of adequate care for women's health and for those with mental health needs. At the same time, our long-term goal is to advocate for a justice system based on reparation and reconciliation rather than retribution and vengeance.
